I was watching my squamosa as it was not opening as much as usual. I noticed under the incurrent siphon (I get them backwards, it's the long tube). I noticed what appeared to be a pod or really tiny shrimp. The thing climbed into the incurrent! I have never seen nor heard of this. the incurrent swelled and only opened a little afterwards. Anyone ever see or hear of this? It was no small critter when compared to the opening it went into. I guess my squammy is now a host for this thing. Wish I could have got a pic, or video.

the long tube thing is the excurrent siphon, there are some comencial crabs and shrimp that clams host but it hard to say with out a pic so i would do nothing and keep an eye on it for now

I'll be keeping an eye on this little guy. It does appear more like a shrimp, but I only got a few second glimps. translucent with a couple of dark areas.

Thanks for the reply,
Jeff
