really quiet pumps?

I think the 1262 is the biggest one. I have 2 of them on my 240. Red dragons are super quite but super expensive.

I used an Eheim compact plus for the return on my 57g and it was the least of my noise problems. If I were starting a new set up, I'd investigate that line.

That's good to know. Of course we will need to push quite a bit of water so I think we would need the bigger one.

Are they plumbed in sequence or something?
Could be a stupid question but I don't know about this stuff.

You would just run them seperate and parallel to one another, its just nice having piece of mind that if one failed and i was at school and work all day, my system would be fine. Nothing wrong with redundancy on a return pump imo.

Are you looking for your return pump? If so, you could totally do two pumps, one hooked up to each return. One drawback though is that an extra pump adds heat and you're trying to get by without a chiller.
