Receeding Pocillipora

every time i get a pocillipora it slowly seems to receed.. this is after a good month or two while the whole time having great PE.. i have even seen sweepers almost daily.. it starts at the base and very slowly goes up.. the rest of my SPS are doing great.. i have checked at night, during the day and there are no pests..cal 450, alk 10, ph8.2, phos. .2, 1.025 sg, nitrates + nitrites 0.. green millie doing great, stags doing great, slimer great.. the pocci. is in decent flow some in higher, some med. some low.. if there is any sign of receeded tissue at the base should i frag it rite away or watch and be sure it stops? i just moved one and had to glue it to rocks and i may have killed some tissue at the base ny pressing to hard.. but it showed signs of dead tissue after a week..

I would place the pocci in an area of good flow/current and try to keep the parameters as stable as possible( My tank had many changes over the last two years but my pink pocci turned out to be quite durable though).

I have the same problem with these corals. I keep my calcium 400-420ppm. They do great and grow for a month or 2, then receed. Has happened 3 times now so i won't try another. I've even fragged it a bunch. The small frags encrust, grow for a month, then the same thing.

Hope you can get it figured out.

all other acros are totally fine.. no receeding on anything else but the pocillipora, and it is at a very very slow rate..i dont think its red bugs.. i have various different types of acros with no problems at all..
