Recirc pumps

Will the Master Electronic 1073.090 pump be sufficient to drive my pacific coast line chiller (min 500-700 gph) and a penductor (min 300-400 gph)? I would split the return, one going to chiller, the other back to tank. There is ~4 feet head for penductor and 3 feet to chiller and 3 ft back to sump.

I am not sure, the pump can handle a massive head pressure but it is for use with 1.5" PVC, certainly reducing the size adds substantial back pressure. Also, keep in mind these pumps make some noise- the noise level of most larger pool type pumps. They are fine for use in a basement or equipment room but not for a bed room.

MDK888 I believe you must use penductors on all exits.

Roger what is the noise level for this pump? I'm looking for basement pump, but still want quiet. You said the noise level of most larger pool type pumps. I have no experience with those. I have Iwaki 70 and this really loud. How you can compare to Iwaki.

It is probably about the same but a lower pitched droning noise. We are working on it though, the 50Hz pumps apparently make much less noise, it is something with the impellers that has to be resolved.

As I understand this noise comes only from 1073.090? Two bigger work OK? Any time frame to solve this problem?

The bigger ones still make more noise than I would like but they aren't as bad. I am not sure on the time frame but it is being worked on, but since I don't know the solution it is hard to say. I would say if you can't deal with some noise I am not going to promise anything so don't order one, I simply can't do more than report the problem in this case. I don't think the noise is unreasonable from a pump of this size though.
