recommanded skimmer for sump?

im setting up a new tank and i will be using my 30 gal for sump,what would you recommand,and does anyone have one living around for me to buy at good price?thnaks mikid

It depends on a few things. Get started with your total water volume and what you want to keep.

I reccomend a euro reef skimmers or any of the Aqua-C lines if you prefer the downdraft style. They are very good skimmers but don'y break the bank like the deltecs and so on.

I don't know how big you tank is, but I have a Kent TE for sale $50 without the pump, $75 with the rio 2100/2500 pump. Has been great on my 50 gallon, might be fine up to 80/90 gallons or so, but if you're going over 100 gallons it may not be enough.

ASM's are good. They use the same pumps as the Euro Reef's but cost less.

i got a euro reef rated for 200 gallons older model with blue fittings though, works great i tore down my 120 so i dont need it pm if interested

ASM are in a league of there own in my opinion,I have used a lot of skimmers but nothing compares to an ASM,I have never used a euro-reef skimmer though.
