I use the HAmilton 14K's (400W) and I like them alot. They are not too blue, but definitely help bring out colors. The Ushio 14K is much whiter if you like that look.

This is my exact tank setup! I'm running one PFO pendant 250watt w/hamilton 14k on a ice cap ballast. Its been running this way for the past 2 years. I can keep sps,lps, softies no problem. Lately though i've been thinking about adding one more pendant for more light. Need a better skimmer first
I don't want to steal the thread but I also am looking into 14k's instead of 10's. I have 2 150 watt mh's and 4 t5 actinics. (2blue 2purple) Any suggestions?
All i run is the 250 watt 14k bulb. No supplimental(?) lighting. I have it hanging about 8 inches above the water. The Hamilton bulb seems to start losing its color around 8 months. Then the corals start to suffer.
