A chiller is a must for the long term captive success of Horn Sharks. A temp. range of 50-70*F is generally recommended for this temperate specie.
Hmmm ... That's actually the preferred water temp range for Port Jackson's.
California Horn's tend to prefer a bit warmer. Their ideal water temp range seems to be in between 64-76F. Which also happens to be the average water temperate thru out their range -- Eastern Pacific from Central California coast (near Santa Barbara) to Southern tip of Baja California (near Cabo San Lucas).
