Recommendation for Tunze Stream Setup

The 6060's don't offer any control options, it is just constant flow and at best you can turn them off and on with timers. These pumps are best as supplemental flow or used with some other source of random flow like a wavebox or Seaswirls. They also are great for FOWLR tanks but I would suggest 2 6000 and a multicontroller as the best option for a serious reef tank.
What do you mean by maximum? In my opinion the options are 2 6000 and a 7095 or a 6000 with a single controller and a wavebox depending on what effect you want. The 2 6060's would be an economical option but it really limits the possible flow effects and settings. A wavebox and a 6060 would be another option.
I suppose I meant before you start kicking up the sand bed, or hitting corals too hard or even slopping water on the floor due to to much surface movement? Not all my corals are nailed down (glued or fused) to rock.
I have no feeling for the behaviour of the Tunze Stream pumps - actually just started reading about them yesterday and became interested. In particular the low power consumption for what appears to be huge flow rate and the interesting configuration options. Just trying to get a feel for setup options and limitations.
BTW, is there a mounting option where you can adjust angle of the pumps with respect the the mounting plane, so that it is easy to direct the flow?

I have two Tunze Stream 6100s in a 140G tank and have them alternating between about 40% and 60% of max output every couple seconds, which based on the ratings the 60% would be nearly max output on a 6000 (the 6000 outputs up to 7000 l/h and 6100 outputs up to 12000 l/h)
At around 80% or so mine start to kick up the sand. The flow rate sounds quite a lot but it is spread out over a much wider area than what most other pumps output. As well as being able to control the output of the 6000/6100, they come with dry run and blockage protection which the 6060/6080s do not
The Tunzes are extremely reliable and should last you a long time, so if you do decide to get the 6000s and upgrade your tank later on you can upgrade them to 6100s if needed by just changing the transformers
The streams can be attached to either the brackets that come with them or you can buy magnet holders (which i would recommend), either way they can be rotated on the mount point
