SW fish are alot smarter then say a gold fish.A gold fish in bad conditions will just float untill death.SW fish will seek out better conditions. So being sure water conditions are up to par is needed. Then Amount of LR or good hiding spots to adjust in help then if you have another tank or water source nearby fish have been known to try and jump to it.
Are these your only fish?
Whats used for flow?
How old is this tank?
Whats tested for and there readings?
The tank is (sort of) a year old. I recently transfered all the contents of my AP12 (running for a year) to an AP24. I use a Lifeguard Quiet One 1200 to circulate water through the back chambers and out and a Maxi-Jet 900 for a total of 526gph flow. I also have Hydor deflectors (spin arounds) on both. Lighting is a 150W 20K Radium bulb (HQI) in a Viper clip-on fixture.

Fish are:
Scooter blenny
Pseudochromis (purchased today)
Fire and Peppermint Shrimp (1 each)
Small Emerald crab
Various snails and little hermits
I now have a "bird net" frame on top to help keep any jumpers in:
I had an ocerllaris clown jump out a couple of months ago. I didn't think clownfish would do that. My tank now had eggcrate cut to cover every open inch and I stay away from fish that can fit through the holes.
