Recommendations for 120 mixed tank

I looked through a number of different pages to find my answer but didnt see anything. And I havent been able to luck up and get search to work.

I am just finishing my cycle on my 120 reef ready AGA tank. I am currently running a mag12 return and have 3 maxi-jet powerheads temporarily which will of course come out when I get the tunzes.


I will have a pretty even mix of 'softies' (zoas, some acans and blastos, eventually duncans) and some hard corals like acropora, montipora, and other plating corals.


I know there probably isnt a perfect solution that covers all these as there is not a one-size-fits-all in this hobby. But what is the best compromise....???????


I am leaning towards twin power heads on each side with the use of a controller.



Please suggest hardware and placement if possible.

I would get 2 6000's one in each back corner aimed to front center and the controller.

The site shows the 6000's paired with a 7091 controller.

Which controller can control 2 of the 6000's?


I did read on one of the big aquarium retailer sites that you can connect 2 to the 7081 but it looks like they would be in sync instead of alternating for better wave action.

Nevermind, I found the answer in another post. Looks like the 7095 is the one.....
