recommendations for 180

I am in the beginning stages of setting up a 180 that will be sps dominated. I am currently planning on having a dsb as well. I am not sure if I should go with 2 x 6100 or 2 x 6000. I am a little nervous about creating a sand storm. What do you think?

For the SPS the best option is the 2 6100 but likely this will create a sandstorm with a new DSB. There is no easy answer in this case other than forego the DSB or keep the pumps clean and running at a lower speed until the DSB matures.

You could go with the 6000's and upgrade the driver at a later time. Same pump, different drivers.

Sorry to Hijack, is it the driver or the transformer that can be upgraded to make a 6000 a 6100? I thought it was the transformer.

How much would it be to upgraded my 6000 to a 6100?

It is the transformer and they cost about $73.
