I'm upgrading a 18 year old 200 gallon display tank and I need a skimmer recommendation. It's been about 8 years since I was in the reef game and I recently rescued a 90 gallon tank and moved all the contents into my 200.
The 200 gallon tank is feed by a basement sump that is an old 125 gallon tank. so i'm sure I have around 225 gallons to 250 gallons of actual water running.
I'm planning a external since its in a filter room/basement. overflow isn't an issue.
I'm interested in the external due to better water control and I can get more bang for my money spent.
I'd like to stay under $700 usd if possible.
An internal isn't out of the question, just seams like I can get a better unit for the money with a external.
So what should I buy?
Thanks
Sam
