Can anyone recommend me a good algae scraper for a 125 gallon tank. I think it's about 24 inches deep. I have heard that the kent proscrapers with stainless blades work good but I am apprehensive as I have a stainless steel scraper now and I have to press so hard to remove any algae that the metal just bends and creases. I was wondering if they might have a scraper with a very sharp edge such as a razor blade instead of a piece of metal.

tagging along. my tank will be 23" tall barebottom. i need one right now for my QT tank also.
Glue this to a Mag Float and scrape away. Mine will even chisle away coraline.

That looks like a neat product I might give it a try. If you say it takes off coraline that's perfect because I have some growing on my front glass and its not the crunchy kind that crumbles when you pick at it either. Its the very stubborn kind that's growing right on the glass where my powerhead is blowing full blast. So before the coraline even gets a chance to build up its blown by the powerhead and forms long streaks of very thin coraline that's fused to the glass in a way that even a finger nail doesn't scratch it off.
I use a paint scraper with a 4 inch blade on it. there is no long handle- I like the control of having blade near my hand anyway. Mine has a rubberized handle and is great. The brand I have was form a true value hardware store "master painter" is on the handle. As I recall it was 3 or 4 dollars. You can scrape front, sides, and back of a nasty 125 in less than 10 minutes.

+1 on the magfloat with the easy blade for glass tanks. I use a regular magfloat for regular algae. The easy blade does a nice job on tough algae and coraline. Definitely the way to go.
