Recommendations for schooling fish

They appear delinquent, no schooling that I see. Loose aggregations. Tanks look great BTW, and I love the 'soundtrack'. I miss my kids being little.

Lol well hanging out in the same 1/3 of the tank with eachother at almost all times. My leopard and Scotts though... Don't care where they are in the tank. Maybe it's because my wrasses are small

And thanks! No you don't! :D

I'd love some in my 600. I added 50 blue and green chromic, they are down to 6! They schooled for a week and then started killing each other off[emoji25]

Our fish all school when it's feeding time ;)

Otherwise our Anthias are all over the place... the pair of Crosshatches are the closest to schooling we have...

Thanks for all the advice.....I went ahead and ordered 14 yellow-tailed damsels.....thinking that they would be about 2" and stay up in the water column......they came in at about 1", stayed near the bottom, and now I only have 8.......and my Jeweled Eel has a smile on his face......

Live and learn I guess

The azure damsels (the blue ones with yellow tails and bellies) are supposed to shoal a bit more than other blue damsels but they still hang out more around the bottom of the tank. If you want something that hangs out in the upper open water then you're looking at various anthias and fairy wrasses. But if you've got an eel with a taste for small fish you're going to have an expensive grocery bill keeping him satisfied.

Like I noted earlier, fish simply don't school in our tanks; and anyone who says they do just doesn't understand the difference between 'schooling' and 'schoaling'.
