Recommended Setting for 120 SPS Tank

On may last controller i had the speed cranked all the way up, the problem was i could not place any coral near the vortech.

My question is now that I upgraded the controller can I use a mode with less intensitiy and still achieve good water movment for my 120gal ?

Are will a certain mode be easier on my corels close to the vortech?

Hello Sean,

You could try pulse mode or the reef-crest random mode. It will spend much of its time at the max speed but for pulse mode, 50% of the time will be at min and for the random mode, some percentage would be below.

I have it on reef crest, is that the same as reef crest random? Seems to do fine and runs cooler (External Motor).
