Recommended T-5 bulbs

Please see the pictures posted by Michigan Mike in this Thread.

His first Bulb is ATI Actinic and is very Dark Blue in color. My Actinic ATI looks like his 2nd bulb which he says is Purple Plus.

I think that maybe you got the Geissman as ordered. Please double check the Bulb as my ATI Actinic looks nothing like yours. I will have to post a picture for you to see.

Its a newer bulb, I ordered it on Black Friday and recieved it a week later so its pretty new still, maybe that's why it looks darker, like the vid that was posted earlier.

Ya I ordered a GIESSEMAN Actinic plus wich is the equivalent of ATI's blue plus it just is a little different, less PAR and a little more 421nm in it, but its the blue plus equivalent.
They sent me ATI actinic instead, reefgeek was great about it and sent me a return shipping label to replace the bulbs and also said they would get me the right bulbs @ the sale price if I wanted to keep the ATI Actinics and get the GIESSEMAN actinic plus bulbs I originally ordered.
I'm happy but now not only do I want to still try geisseman's actinic plus (blue) but also since I like actinics I want to try geisseman's pure actinic bulb as well(violet)

The second bulb is a Fiji purple.lol
;)

Taking a pic from above @ the water surface is the easiest way, for sure. Turning off any pumps will help get a still shot unlike mine.lol

Comparing pictures like that is a VERY bad idea. Do you know how many factors come into play?

What camera was used for both, shutter speed, ISO settings, manual or auto focus, ambient light, photographer, editing post-picture, monitor calibration....etc. The list goes on and on.

Pictures are fun to look at but should NEVER, EVER be used for determining what a tank looks like in real life.
