Recommended way to dose mg

Hello all I have a mixed reef tank and I recently set up an ato. I add kalk to the ato reserve (mix kalk in separate container allow it to settle 1 day then pour the clear mixture into the ato). My mg was replenished by my biweekly wc but I want to keep it at a steady level. It starts at mid 1300's and hits 1280 before my wc.

My question is what is the best way to dose mg.

I just boost my water change salt water with some extra magnesium (some already have excessive magnesium anyway), but you can just add it directly. It depletes pretty slowly and almost never needs to be added more frequently than weekly. Many folks never need to add any.

Thanks randy I'll do that. I use seachem reef salt btw.

Seachem already has quite a bit so it may not ever be needed if you do reasonable water changes.
