Recovering Acan advice?

GF3

In Memoriam
So i got a frag of this nice acan from a local for free, the catch was that it was in a losing fight with a birdsnest, killing off about 2 1/2 heads on the frag. There is just bare skeleton where these heads used to be now. The remaining 3 1/2 heads of the frag acclimated well to my tank and seems very happy in its new home so far. What I am curious about is whether I should strip away the pieces of skeleton that are left on the frag, or will the live tissue use this old skeleton to graft onto as it grows? I have the tools needed to break away the dead parts without causing harm to the good parts, just not sure if it is necessary to do so.

Put it in low light med flow and it will come back. If you target feed ones in a while it will come back quicker.

It's currently on the sandbed getting a good flow across it. It's a BC14, so I'm not worried it's getting too much light! It seems happy where it is so I'll leave it be and let it recover, thanks for the replies!
