Sounds like cyano. Can you post a picture? What are your water parameters? How much flow do you have in the tank? Can you describe your setup, tank size, skimmer, sump?
90g uniquarium w/1262 Eheim return, 20g sump w/jebo protein skimmer. Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 5.2, Ph 8.2, and yes I use RO water. Theres pics in my gallery. Don't know how to put it on thread. Thanks
I had a huge problem with ciano too with my nano. I started using RO water and within three weeks it was all gone. I also started doing a 10% water change every week. I had not been doing that before.
