Red bug question

I had red bugs almost a year ago and they ended up killing all of my frags. Since my tank has been coral free for a long time, is it safe to say they are all gone at this point due to their life cyle? Can they still live in live rock? Does everyone dip their corals with interceptor to prevent from getting them? Thanks!

They're live cycle from the research ice done is about 5 days... I'd say you are good to go! Lol.

I don't believe people dip interceptor to prevent them... That sounds a little harsh.

Interceptor is used as an in-tank treatment but I imagine it could be used as a dip. The Bayer dip seems to be the standard now.

I have a flasher wrasse....and added a Christmas wrasse a while back and he did not make it. I think the flasher was pretty aggressive towards him. My tank is a 180. What wrasse could I add that would get along with a flasher that has been in the tank since day one? Mystery? Hoevens?

Bayer is the way to go. I use it extensively on everything I can think of. Nothing has ever reacted badly to it.
