Red Bugs?

I took this picture earlier and someone pointed my attention to the tiny dots on the white part, they think it could be red bugs.

I heavily cropped into the picture for a closer look, I'm still unsure from looking on Google.

What's peoples thoughts?

At that magnification they should be blatantly obvious. I can't tell. You can see them pretty clear with the naked eye. Look like yellow fleas crawling all over the acros. I've had them, even taken macro pics of them. I honestly can't tell from those pics, maybe it's my monitor.....

Although, it looks really suspicious......

I have to agree, I do see something but it looks more like flatworm to me.

After taking more pictures this morning, I definitely think it's RB.

Picture from Google.

Just ordered some Dragon Pipefish from my LFS.

IMO they look more like flatworms but it is hard to tell from the pictures. As reeflover said their speed will make it pretty obvious. Red bugs dart around quite quickly. Typically they would hang around the polyp in the same spot and then quickly move to another polyp and repeat. The flatworms slowly and methodically moved from place to place.

I stick by my earlier post, flatworms. But it's all just our guesses without a macro shot, which doesn't sound like you'll get anytime soon. Dip to be safe

Those pics were done with a 105mm macro and the image was cropped to the extreme. I can't even see them with my naked eye, they're minuscule. I dipped it today but didn't really see anything come off.

You are gonna have to be the judge. If they are flat oval blobs they are flatworms. If they look like a small red dust mite scurrying around they are red bugs. I had both at the same time and they were pretty easy to differentiate between when you can watch them for a bit. I also had an infested acro within a few inches of the glass so I could observe them without any aid.

They definitely don't scurry about, that Acro is 3 inches from the glass and I can't see them with my eyes they're that small. When I have been taking pics they're still in the same position pretty much. Thanks.

They sure look like rb's to me. Especially in the 1st pic. On the underside of the coral you can see something protruding from the coral. Flatworms don't stick out.
This is what they looked like in my tank.

They sometimes don't scurry around, but can sit in the same spot for a long time. I can't see them with my eyes either. I need a camera or magnifying glass to see them. Sucks to get old eyes.:D

I think some people in this thread could use a trip to the eye doctor :p

What Andy is talking about is at roughly 3 o'clock just off the center of the photo
