Red Bugs

Found then in my system. I always placed the blame on my flame angel over the past few months for the sudden lack of pe on several of my sps colonies. Well last night noticed the little buggers on the affected colonies. Fortunately I have several interceptor tabs left over from when my dog was switched to something different.

This morning I disconnected my skimmers airline, took carbon offline and dissolved 1/3 a tab in tank water and dumped it in. Returned home after a day at work to a few dead hermits and no visible sign of the bugs [emoji1]. Did a 25% water change and turned the skimmer and carbon back on. I'll probably do another wc tomorrow. Only thing I'm not sure on is when I can add back cuc. Thoughts?

A sixline wrasse will take care of the bugs IME

And they will also bully the heck out of my other wrasses. I prefer the natural approach as well but in this case not an option.

I've never seen a sixline pick at redbugs, tried a DF pipefish and he lived off pods in my system for 9 months until my sixline started abusing him -_-'

Treat it again in a few days. Even though they are supposedly livebearers, they can come back after just one treatment. Three treatments would be even better.

Yeah. Im gonna zap them again in a week. Then ill get some new cuc.

3 treatments and then the CUC would probably be the safer bet.
