okay, i have them. Pretty sure i do anyways, noticed this morning a few very small red bugs of some sort. Came in on this new frag i bought. Only 3 polyps on this rock are not opening, the other 7-10 are. Everything on my colony of eagle eyes appears to be normal.

What do i need to do in order to end this before it gets bad?

kinda upset but at the same time it was $15 for a small rock with 2zoa varietys and a monti plate so i cant get to upset.

Red bugs.... Interceptor treatment. Kills them flat out. They don't bother polyps from what I know, its more for SPS than anything.

+1 for Interceptor as long as you're sure they're red bugs (tiny arthropods) and not red planaria (flatworms).

Interceptor won't kill flatworms and Flatworm Exit won't kill red bugs.

On the plus side, either way, it's easily treated. Be careful with your crabs and shrimp with Interceptor. It'll kill larger arthropods just as dead as the small ones.

well i can easily remove the frag for treatment, id hate to lose my hermits and all of my cope and amphipods.

I guess ill have to check it out a little closer to see if it might be those flatworms and not bugs. they are definitely bothering the polyps as far as i can tell.

There are only 3 or 4 visible, regardless of what they are. All are on closed polyps. Those polyps have yet to open, they were closed in the store and have stayed closed in my tank.

There is variation in color with red bugs. Mine looked like this:

Solid orangey red sounds as though it could be red planaria.
