Red Chromis?

Does anyone have any experience with these? Looking for small active fish for my 40B. Below is my stock list in the order of being added to tank.

Red Highfin Goby already in tank.
2-3 Chalk bass
Possum Wrasse still deciding species
Fairy Wrasse still deciding species

Think about 3-4 of the Chromis and adding them between the 2 wrasses.

Any input would be appreciated.

Look into the flasher wrasses, they are very impressive colored in person & if you can get a herim together they are fun to watch. I think I read the honey chromis are pretty aggressive like damsels. & they are always out of stock online. I was looking at them too but decided against.

Actually flasher wrasses are what I have been looking into. My LFS has a dozen red Chromis right now, never heard if them until now.

You don't think 3 flashers would be to much for a 40?

Neoglyphidodon crossi? I've seen these a couple of times and heard mixed results. One time they killed a bunch of green chromis in the same holding tank. The next batch, I saw them hiding in the corners of the display tank at the LFS. Cool little fish! Hardy eater and reef safe.

I believe that they loose their color and turn brown as they get older. A wrasse will most likely keep its color or even get more colorful as it ages.

As mentioned above, they are not true chromis.

They reach about five inches in length, turn brown/black and become quite aggressive as adults. They're highly territorial...not a schooling fish at all.

Well, I don't purchase without research and thats what I'm on here. I had a feeling they probably changed color as adult as they where very pretty at the LFS and only about 1/2in. long there.
