Red Coris Wrasse Discussion Thread

This is my favorite fish I have so far. In searching for info, I found several threads. I had the idea that we need individual threads that are dedicated to single fish. It would gather much more information about an individual species, all in one location.

Anybody ever kept one in juvenile colouration and have it transistion to adult colours ? I dont' think i've ever read about anyone on RC doing so ..which is odd.

A local store had one that they kept long enough that it did. It seems that the last two remaining hint of white stripes are on the very top of the head. Mine still has two faint dots, and he's about 4" long.

I haven't seen him in almost 2 days, since changing lights, and I'm a bit concerned about him. I posted more details in the other thread.

My wrasse did finally come back out, so I guess sometimes they will get spooked and hide for a couple days.

Maybe check the FO forum? The aren't typically kept in most reef tanks, due to size and "redecorating" behavior
