red dragon redbugs

About 2 weeks ago I got a frag of a red dragon for next to nothing. It was quite faded out and no pe that I could see. For the price I paid, it was worth a shot to see if I could get it healthy and colored up. I dipped it in revive for a pretty short time before I put it in the tank, because I didn't want to stress it any more than it was already stressed. Tonight I took a close up to see if I could see any pe on it. My eyes aren't good enough, so hence the pic. One little red/ orange dot near the bottom caught my attention so I zoomed in. Looked like a #^%%$ redbug. Hopefully I am wrong, but it sure looks like one. The frag was quickly pulled out and dipped in interceptor for about 10 min, turkey basted in the dip and then inspected with a magnifying glass. Looked clean. What are the chances of redbugs spreading to other corals in the 2 wk period? I took a ton of macro shots of other corals and found no sign on any other coral. I dealt with them before and got ahold of some interceptor, so I am prepared. Just hate to lose my shrimp again.

Dip it in Bayer Advanced for 10 minutes and put it in lower light. Mine was pale like that for several months. I found that the Red Dragon likes Amino and when I dose it takes off.

Just keep an eye on it, if its rb then you will see them fast in a few weeks. Especially on that white dragon

Lol, it is supposed to be a "red" dragon. The pic makes it look whiter than it really is. It is a light pink in person. Yes, I will be watching closely. I was more venting than anything. That is the fun with sps tanks, if it isn't one thing, it is another. Lol

Bayer Pest Advanced

Bayer Pest Advanced

I also would recommend the Bayer Pest Advanced. I wont put anything into my system without a few baths in it. Also if you don't have any wrasses I would get one like a six line (get a small one).
