Anyone ever kept one of these? I've had one for almost two weeks. He eats fine, but for some reason won't come out of the rock work. I can easily find him, but he rarely swims in the open water. Only time I see any aggression is when he gets too close to the clown and the anemone in the corner, but that's it. Other fish are a six line, 2 pj cardinals, and a yellow watchman goby.

At first, the six line wasn't too happy. But now he pays no attention to him.

Just kinda weird IMO.

In a 34 gallon tank, the sixline may be intimidating him. However, while I have never kept this fish, it has a reputation of being one of the least aggressive pseudochromis.

I too have read that they are not aggressive, and quite secretive. I'm surprised the wrasse didn't kill it, truth be told.

I have read that they are not aggressive, but have not read secretive.

And yeah, for some reason my six line really isn't aggressive at all. He even gets scared of the clown occasionally.

mine was by himself in a 40g. Its behavior was the same as yours-good eater and swam around in the rockwork not open water.

I kept one many years ago in a 29 gallon with a cherub angel and a breeding pair of black and white occellaris. He was very mellow and swam around in the rock work.
