does any one know anything about red emerald crabs? I have a crab that looks like a emerald crab with spotted calws and whit and red stripped legs. Is this a emaerald crab or not? It behaves just like one and seems to be eating algee only. I would have a pic of it but it stays very hidden in the rocks .

supercribs, I don't think you're in the correct forum. Cephalopods are molluscs (generally with soft bodies). Crabs are crustaceans. Crabs are different from cephalopods. You might get more helpful answers in the "Other Invertebrates" forum :)

Sounds like a strawberry crab to me. They sell them around here for like $20. However Michael is quite right, you are in the wrong forum.

Cephalopods do eat crabs though so maybe you are in the right forum after all.... :) Is it food?

thanks for the help I will try reposting it in another foum. Im still pretty new at this but am learning quickly....I think?
