Red fins on tang: when to treat?

I have a powder blue tang who I purchased just over a week ago. No ich and he eats quite well but he has those red fins. Which I believe to be a bacterial infection.
I have been told to treat with nitrofuran or Mardels Maracyn 2 (according to Billsreef) Thanks Bill

Anyway, if he is eating should I still start treatment since it has not gone away? (been a week)

Have been doing water changes everyday to keep the water top notch in the QT...

I think my zebra angel's pelvic fin got caught up in the net while catching and seems infected. should I treat or leave it alone? Fish is eating now.
btw what happened to your fish. Is he still alive
