Red Fuzzy Lion

Argh...that sux, but glad the fish is OK. IME, the "second" wean can be a tuff one. Before we started using our "stealth stick", we had an over eager fish grab onto a feeding stick and not let go, and we had to re-wean...sheesh.

Good luck!

His mouth is like the one is post 31? That's still not back in place. But if he's eating, that's good news.

I would dose with some vitamin C. I've had great luck with the stuff.

Since he stopped eating I have been tossing Vita-chem in the water column. Figured it couldn't hurt.

Hard to say on the jaw, his favorite perch is facing straight down, and he always seems to know when I'm looking at him.

Back eating frozen, just takes a bit more wiggling than it did. And here's an updated picture.

So much for that....the undulated and the ghost shrimp are living together harmoniously.

Most of them went in the big tank with the triggers and the tusk, that was a slaughter. The Niger put on a show.

Those shrimp are tough, how can they go from freshwater to full salt instantly and survive?

i have had some last for days when i was feeding the black ribbon i have

They don't all acclimate to full SW, but most ghosties will indeed do so on many occasions. I've done it purposely a few times when we've needed live feeders (guppies and ghosties) for more than a couple of weeks.

This poor little dude, every day is an adventure.

Back eating frozen well, went to grab his piece of fish and took it and the fishing line with it. So then I'm chasing the fuzzy around the tank with a pair of needle nose pliers for 10 minutes trying to grab the other end of the fishing line that got pulled off the stick.

Figured he wouldn't eat for two weeks this time, but ate a couple more pieces of fish after the ordeal. Looks like I might need a dab of superglue on the ole feeding stick.

The way I did my feeding stick is I drilled a tiny hole in the stick, just big enough for the line to fit through (I use 20lb fishing line) then I tie it in a knot, and fill the hole with super glue and cover the knot with super glue. I can take a pic of it later if you would like

The reason I don't make the line more permanent, is I find I need to replace it every now and then because the food stops sliding off super easy.

Every story has an ending, and this story is about over.

Still kicking, but it's pretty much over. Ironically, the death throes have snapped the jaw back into place. I'm pretty annoyed at the previous owners, whoever they were.

Damn...I liked the little guy.
