does anyone in the area know where you can get Red Gracilaria ?
I hear it is good marco algae and that tangs will like it too.
Does anyone have experience with this?

yes -- it is what tangs eat in nature -- and one of the best macros to feed them. It is very nutritious and can prevent/treat head and lateral line disease.
It is difficult to get -- very hard to grow -- cheap brownish and dying gracilaria can be found on eBay. Inland Aquatics and IPSF have quality, reliable, healthy red gracilaria.
Red is what fish eat -- not the green or brown as much.
