Red Haddoni and Skunk Clown

Very nice red carpet!!
I think the number of clown=2 whatever how many you added in...
from your video, they are already fighting for the carpet and sooner or later only 2 winners stand

Breeding clownfish, I run out of room in my tanks and have various combinations of clowns in tanks that are really out of the guideline that most people think of regarding clown fish. My clowns are mostly A. percula with some A. ocellaris and hybrid of the two species.
I have keep 500 or more in 40 g tank with 100% water change every week. LR and macro-algae in the tank to keep ammonia level zero out but really high nitrates.
I have keep breeding pair in tanks then multiple juveniles with them also.
For example

In my 320 g with 7 carpets (6 Gigantea and a Haddoni) I keep a Picasso, her husband (a SnowOnyx) and two juveniles Onyx and two juveniles SnowOnyx. No problem. All the clowns have loose affinity to all the anemones. The smallest two fish (2 Onyx) got push around a little and got push our out of one anemone they just go to another, or just go to my two Large clams (an 18 inches T. gigas or 8 inches T. derassa)

In another of my tank, a 30X30X30, I got a breeding pair SnowOnyx with 12 juveniles clowns Two Platinum, 4 Phantoms, two Onyx, and 4 SnowOnyx. They are all doing well also. Two of the Phantoms end up in the large overflow box. I just keep them there and just make sure they get feed in the overflow box. I have a Magnifica and a large Red Haddoni in this tank.

I think Deepsea2005 fish are doing just fine. The numbers of fish in there just keep the pecking random. None of the fish get all of the pecking so they will be just fine. I think he must have them for at least 1 years together with the anemone. There is some biting but I don't think this will result in the death of any of the fish. Deepsea2005, a veteran reef and anemone keeper (with a lot of resources), stated that he plan to remove the fish and give/sell them away if there is any problem. He still have them together after 1 year, there must be no significant problem with the tank.

Thank you all for your interesting and concern about my anemones and clowns. So far they are still doing fine. However, I don’t recommend keeping more than a pair of clown per tank to anyone though.
Below is a short update video. I wish I have time to clean the tank more often.
Happy Reefing.

thank you Minh for the explanation.

how would you go about adding a bunch of clowns to a new tank ? [new as of no clwnfish ... ]

add all at once ?

the reason breeders can get away with a bunch of clowns in the same tank for a while is because there are many clowns to disperse the fighting no one clown get's singled out. IMO this is what you want to do in an aquarium, otherwise you'll just end up with less and less over time.

thats just my .02 though.

Any updates?

ponokareefer,

I think I did mention before. Due to the algae spiked up, and the Haddoni moved, I broke up the tank and rebuilt it.
During the move, the skunks hidden in the rocks and sandbed which I did not know (I thought they were in the LTAs). 8 of them ended dead. The only survive was the one hidden in the nem.
I am adding a bunch of small clowns to the tank now. I will post some update soon.
