I just bought a 3 inch Red linkia sea star. It adds alot of color to my reef. Has anyone had sucess keeping them long term? Please share your experiences.
I've had L.Multiflora for several years (3-4?) with no problem. They require no special maintenance being basically scavengers, they foraged for themselves.
Not the most exciting aquarium species - mine spent most of the time under the rockwork, coming out mostly at night.
Do not keep with triggers, filefish, wrasses or puffers as they may eat your linckia.
Hope this was of some help to you!!
Congratulations on your reproducing Linckia JokerGirl ! I have kept many, but never had them reproduce to my knowledge - you must be doing right by them!
