Red Mandarin & Green Spotted Mandarin in the same tank?

I have a 60 gal w/ refugium, live sand & live rock. Is it possible to have both of these fish in the same tank? I've already added some pods & will continue to do so on a biweekly basis until I know the colony is established & reproducing.

With that being said is there an issue with keeping these 2 fish in the same tank? I also have 2 clowns but everyone seems to be getting along

It's not just size of tank that matters. You need lots of rock work for the pods to hide in the tank & reproduce. Even though mandarins are small, they have a big appetite & constantly scour for food & will decimate most pod populations. Make sure he stays fat cause they usually starve to death throughout months.

Hers a pic of the tank & refugium, I would say say approx 40# of live rock, plus some chaeto & miracle mud

That definitely won't hurt, but most bottles have much less than 1000 pods, and adult mandarins can eat thousands of pods per day.

I have also had a few eat artemia. O would also feed it to let pods build up a bit. It worked for me but mileage may very.

I've had a mandarin in a 39g tank for about 5 months. Nice and fat. He's target fed nutria mar ova and bloodworms twice a day and hunts for pods the rest of the time. I've only seeded the tank with pods once. I trained him onto frozen in an 8g tank. I kept him there for 2 weeks to make sure he was eating frozen then let him loose in my DT. I also have a female that I'm training right now onto frozen in the 8g and as soon as she's ready she's going in the 39. I turn all pumps off for an hour when I target feed so they have a chance to eat their fill. Given enough time to train and dedication to make sure they're eating, I think 2 can be kept in a 60. Whatever the tank size, watch out for the spotted becoming aggressive, and if adding at separate times, I'd add the spotted second. Even if smaller, they tend toward harrassing the red/greens much more than the opposite.

how about any suggestions on removing the ton of copepods I found in my filter sock while changing it? I tried to salvage some but I have a feeling I just threw away quite a few...
