Red max 250 - good deal?

Just saw a used red max 250 for sale for $300 locally
Guy says the cabinet is scratched up but everything else works. (i can always get a new cabinet)
Any advice if its a good buy?

Before you buy from an unknown source, observe the tank full of water. It can be tap water from a garden hose, but you're better off being sure before the purchase than getting home and finding out it leaks.

Considering I paid A$1,820 for my new Reefer 250 (not Max) US$300 sounds like a bargain to me...

Checking it doesn’t leak however is of course very sound advice. The cabinet is the least of your worries.
