Red Planet ?

I'm having an impossible time getting my red planet to hold its green color. Mine seems to want to turn solid red. I have it on the bottom of my tank all the way off to the side in what I would consider to be very low light area (maybe 200 par). The only part that is green is a small section of the base that is almost completely shaded. What the trick to keeping the green? I have other SPS in the tank that are a nice solid green.

I have one that is 2 yrs old about 12", the older growth is mostly green where new growth is white tip and red body.

even at 200 par it might be too much light to maintain the green. try an even lower light area.

Our is about halfway down in a 75G tank with 400W XM20K MH lights. Ours used to be mostly pinkish-red but is now showing the green the only thing we really changed was raising our flow rate. It is getting blasted with flow and is finally getting the green. Maybe try putting it in a higher flow area.

Mine was bright red with no green and I pulled the gfo offline and it started to get the green base.

Mine is 2 years old now and all red it's on top of tank. Had some green when it was a frag after all it is called RED planet....
