Red sea coral pro salt

Has anyone ever used this brand of salt? What is the verdict? I have heard mixed reviews about various salts. I wanted to try a different brand because I have used IO for years and I am tired it. So I went to this brand to try the LFS dude said that by his experience this is one of the better brands. I was going to pick up Tropic Marin but I have read about the inacuracies about this salt too, with the mag and calc. The Fish dude also said the same thing so that steered me from that brand. So what is everybody else using and how are your params?

Thank you,
J.c.

I recently talked with a rep from Red Sea and asked him about this salt. He says that they go a few miles out from the coast of Dubai and straight to the bottom to collect natural sea water.

After collecting it, it goes through a tedious process involving 13 steps to remove any impurities. They evaporate the water leaving just the salt. Unlike most brands they do not remove calcium from the salt. If at any point during this process one of the tubs of salt fails a test, the entire batch is cast away.

I just started using it about a month ago and so far its too soon to notice any perks.

I switched from IO to Red sea pro, and so far I like it. Calcium levels end up being too high though, but thats in my tiny 25g. I switched because my IO would not mix completely in the RO water, but red sea mixes great. Also so far no algae outbreaks from switching salts. Switched about 2 months ago.
