Red Sea Max - secrets?

I'm getting a Red Sea Max, hopefully by next week! Although I have some 25 years of playing around with FW tanks, this is my first foray into SW...

Does anyone know of anything I should be aware of with the Red Sea Max before I set it up?

Hi. I'm a RSM owner for a few months now and I really like the tank. There are probably a few threads going about the RSM, but here's a link to an ongoing one that WinnipegDragon started, and there's a lot of information on the RSM being put in this thread - pro and con. Some of us are trying some mods on the skimmer, etc. and there are some upgrades mentioned that you may not be aware of:

If you're just getting one you'll probably most of the upgrades when you get it. Good luck with your RSM!
