I have not however I am about to start testing the Red Sea products that let you adjust most of this stuff more independently. IE (A/B/C/D) we shall see if it makes any difference or is just some magic powder.
I haven't used it- but I'm guessing it's the same mix that Randy Holmes-Farley came up with & is probably the same thing that BRS sells. Not very specific on the website on how much the kit makes. I'm guessing the 5kg kit is about 11lbs total for $40, whereas BRS's kit is $45, but is about 14lbs & comes with the mixing containers.

Highly possible. I am having to have my girls friend dos my tank, while I am away on business every other 2 weeks. So I wanted it stupid simple and this seem to fit the build very well. (and I only have a 10 Gallon tank so I doubt I am going to need a ton of this stuff =)).

I am interested if it is balanced for The Big Three (KH/Ca/Mg) so that I could add a few grams daily, and then adjust with Alk, Ca or Mg only occasionally when a single one needs to be brought back in balance. It certainly *seems* to fit the bill. I am just generally skeptical of "one-stop anything".
Hmm... I'm not sure how well that would work. Usually you're supposed to mix these things up in RODI water before you add them to the tank. And I thought you weren't supposed to add them at the same time because they'll precipitate out.

This is a one-part balanced salt additive. Randy discusses these in the link below (not this product specifically...it is fairly new). You cannot pre-mix this...it must be added as a solid directly to the system in an area of high flow.

I am not using the ABC+. I do not really like anything that dose's everything every time. My KH falls much faster than my CA or Mg and Fe in my system goes quick. So I got the A/B/C/D sets and will just be setting a schedule for her to dose X Y Z on this day etc...
So, I tried 10g of this last night in my 28g...put it in the back (sump area). It all dissolved quickly, and only one or two tiny specks came out the pump into the tank, and those dissolved before touching anything.
If it's balanced, and is what it says it is, it *seems* to work okay in terms of actually adding it with no ill effect (I noticed no negative or positive effects from the tank inhabitants). I will be taking samples periodically to see if the levels of the Big Three change "in balance" (KH/Ca/Mg).
