Red Sea or Red Sea Pro?
I have used Red Sea Pro for 2 years and all most every batch has tested within proper ranges+/-. I haven't had to dose anything to get new water up to parameters before using....The only other thing you can do is dose Mag before you use it for water changes.

Red sea coral pro works like clockwork for me. I don't even test my water anymore with 10-15% water changes with ro/di and red sea coral pro at 1.026 water puts my params and amazing levels.

what really is RO/DI water and how does it differ??
with the red sea salt is it necessary, cause it is the salt i have just purchased. Is there a concern using regular water with it?
If i do use regular water is there anything else i should add?

I use instant ocean reef crystals been lookn at some salt i cant remember the name brightwell? idk it was expensive !

RO/DI is Reverse Osmosis/De-Ionized water. it has most, or at least many, of the impurities removed.
Take it from a newbie use only ro/di water, it has eliminated all or most of the algae and parameter problems that i have ever had since i started, dont be a fool and think tap water is ok even if treated i did and it caused most of my problems. 1 month later ro/di water only ever used not 1 problem....

Ok i understand what RO/DI water is now!!!
I noticed there are tools which will work to get water to this state. Is it just possible to purchase water of this quality from somewhere??
That about the water in jugs at grocery stores? of like home filters for taps? are any of these either good or better than one another???
The type of water available/ water that should be used is still confusing me a bit? I do get most of the other pieces of equipment!!
Would be almost the same as distilled water in the jugs from grocery stores, if not, what is the difference?

The distilled water seems to be safe, in general, although it's possible that some brands contain copper. Most of the water from other sources is variable in quality, and I wouldn't trust them. Most simple tap water filters won't do much or won't process enough water to be useful. For most of us, a RO/DI filter from a vendor, or a rechargeable DI system, are a better choice.
