red sea wavemaster

They are only good if your running maxi jets. Its kinda out dated. I have one in my closet that I havent been able to get rid of.

I've had one of these on my 180 for the past 3-4 years running a variety of powerheads (Otto, Rio, etc.). No problems that I've been aware of and has been quite reliable. If you get one cheap it should do a reasonable job for you.

im thinkin of using it on the seio powerheads when i get set up again. can i use it for those specific pw's?

Doubt you want to use it one SEIOS, since they aren't really built to do stop and go like a maxi1200... Id just go with a seio multicontroller which allows a couple of seios to ramp down to their lowest setting which probably @ 30% the goes to 100%.. I was thinking of getting the multicontroller but planning to go to korialis with a prop mod..

Forgot about the seio multi controller...:D How are the koralias btw? what was the recall about?? something with the gaskets not sitting right or something? was thinking of ordering those but wanted to know what others thought of em first, and how they performed.

a couple of my friends got the 4's which is the largest and one of them modded it already... got a lot more flow out of them, but could not measure it with a flow meter since the flow was so widely spread out unlike a seio....

the recall type is for the 2-3's..

still looking on it as I don't know yet how it performs on wavemakers and logivity......

1 good thing is that it draws way less heat compared to seios...

thats good to know about those creating less heat.....want to run my set up without using a chiller. agree with elite about it looking nicer than the seios! what model you guys recommend for a 100 gallon? .....dont have tank yet but trying to get equipment little by little so i dont spend so much all at once (at least the wifey dont think so) :D

I'm using 2 1500 seios for a 100 but will probly go with 2 #4's and 2 #2's.... but will mod the #4's to get more the 1200lph out of it..

id like to know how your gonna do the mod for the 4's if you dont mind me asking. im ready to order 2 of em from L.A!

A friend of mine has completed the mod already on his #4.. said it seems to produce way more flow and evenly than a seio... he estimates 1500 to 2000+ lph but can't measure it with a flow meter... pm chem-e , he can let you know more about it.
