Red slime remover tips?

I have been battling cyano in my tank now for months.
I have a 125 gallon with .04 phosphate and .025 - 1 ppm nitrate. Lighting are AI hydra 26's. For flow i have 2 Koralia evo 1500 and 2 Koralia evo 1150 plus the Mag 9 return pump from sump.

The cyano came in my tank on a piece of coral . I remember seeing a slight red tint to the rock it was on and this is where it got thickand spread. I doubt its a flow problem because its not concentrated on any particular area, it took off everywhere. Also i redirected some of the koralias and the cyano still grow in the are of increased flow.

So after several months I've decided to try the red slime remover.
Any tips on skimmer usage with this product or any other tips in general?
Experiences with it?

I am sure you know your skimmer is going to go nuts. Try to rig up some way to reduce the air intake, add GAC if not already done, and large water changes.

This is my Cyano problem before i do the red slime remover traement, that's not coralline folks. I have not siphoned in 1 week and this is the result. No matter how much i siphon it comes back compleaty with a vengence. For those who say too little flow well its even growing on the rock that's getting blasted by the Koala 1500 powerhead and a littlr on the powerhead itself.
ill be receiving the treatment in the mail tomorrow ill post some after pictures and outcome months down road if it compleaty gets rid of it.
Actually looks pretty if it wouldn't be smothering the corals. Ths gsp i rinsed really good to get all of it off it wasn't opening at all. Zoas are starting not to open as much. Leather is fine.

My skimmer didint go as crazy as i imagined it would. I left if off for the first couple of hours then started it up with the gate wide open for areation. after the first day i adjusted the gate and it started to skimm at a good steady normal rate.

I'm on the 48 hrs follow up treatment. The first treatment did not have a great visual effect. ... It did do something as i saw quite a bit of cyano trapped I'm my filter sock which prior to treatment i had never seen so it did do something.

Thought id give an update on my use of the Ultra Life red slime remover.
After a third treatment and abou 50 percent waterchange in small 10 percent incraments over the course of a week, Im happy to have no visual sighs of Cyano in my tank. What a difference in the attached pictures vs the first ones i posted.:bounce3:

All fish were fine throught the process by that i mean no signs of distress of any kind. no corals were affected either. GSP not opening up all the way but that was before the treatment as well.

So I couldn't be happier with the Red Slime Remover product. I belive my Cyano was attributed to execss use of the Selcon addetive. I was using Selcon soked food much more that what the bottle recommended since the fish seemed to love it so much. I will be not be including Selcon in the food for my display tank any longer. I will however continue to use it in the QT tank for new fish to help get them fat and healthy.

I have tried blackout and no feeding, they tend to come back! So I bought red slime removal and that did the work. I hate to put chemicals in my tank but it sure did the work.

You'll probably have to do it again in couple weeks just to get rid of it completely!

do you have to manual remove the algae after treatment (and the product just prevents it from growing back) or does the product actual remove it?

When i used Red Slime Remover it was skimmed out and also caught in my filter sock i did not have to manual remove any of it.
That being said at the time i did not know what was causing my cyano bacteria. It turned out to be the heavy use of Selcon food additive. If i knew that now i would have done a few 30% Water Changes rather than use the Red Slime Remover.
But it did work very well and have not had Cyano back since.

well after 4 days it finally is started change, it is now turning light brown /orange, which i assume means it is dead... but is still stuck on all over all my rocks, and on my sand bed... should i just wait for it to fall off and float away to my filters? or should i do a water change and get it all out of the take manually?

right now it is still sitting there all over my rocks and sand bed.

If it was my tank and its still sitting there, id siphon it out.
