Red Starfish problems

I purchased a red starfish today and now that I got it home I see that it has white sores on the tips of its feet. It looks like it is disinegrating
Is there anything I can do for it?

Get it out of the tank! Once its starts falling apart it is doomed. It will just raise the nitrates when it dies.

tank will be too small for one, and if the tank's a reef it will devour your corals.
