In Memoriam
This may seem out of the ordinary but I am hoping there is a simple answer to this - my yellow headed goby and blue jaw trigger both had yellow tipped dorsal fins, tonight I noticed both have changed to a pinkish/red color, slight to faint in color not brilliant red or anything. The other fish in the tank are fine (Emporer, purple tang, watanabe, mystery wrasse, and maited pair of clarkii clowns). My tank is a 90-gal, running for a year, live rock only. I removed all the sand in increments over a few months and am now bare bottom. Am going to check ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels later tonight to see if the sand removal had increased these parameters due to stirring up the bed. Any ideas on this color change and should I be concerned?
Thanks
