will do next week. my tank is still clearing up from the ruby reef rally. (similar to kick ich)

i ordered they off of ebay.

the guy is in plant city and he didnt charge me shipping or tax. they are a pretty penny though.

i had a choice of either going with ice cap ballast or getting the magnetic and then getting the nice reflectors.

im glad i did the magnetic ballast and opted for the reflectors their awesome.

but i have no more room left. in fact i had to chisel a little bit of the canopy to get my moon light on. ( its curved shape because i had the bright idea of putting them next to my old halides... they melted real nice... :(

LOL...wow, Im definately looking into those reflectors myself. I heard the Largest Luminarc reflectors cover a 4'x 4' area. Did u get the largest ones?? What size are yours. What bulbs are you using??

WOW, this hobby has some of the most amazing DIY'ers...Mike, can you let me know when you going to attempt this, maybe I can witness it and attempt it myself, Thanks

Yo Don...I don't attempt. I study, and study some more and then study some more. Then I prepare, and prepare some more. And then...I DO!!! Now that's funny, I don't care who you are!!!
Actually, this will be a very easy project. I'll let you know when. I'm doing 3 of the 14 inch square version.

LOL...no wonder I suck a DIY projects, I always jump the gun...LOL, If you find any more info can u shoot it my way, please?? Thanks

That is true at least with the larger Lumenmax reflectors. I am running three of the bigger ones (22" x 22") and they almost light my entire tank to the point that I could go from (4) 400 watters on Spider reflectors down to three and they provide 3 times the coverage. I just had to add some T-5's to light up the outermost edges.

Mflamb, are the spectrals a mirror finish?? I would love to see the finish of those bad boys. Also I would wanna put some of the textured finish reflector on the sides like the Luminarcs are. Do u know where to get the textured ones??
trigger, that is awesome and looks like u saving on electricy and heat.

this is the lumenmax 2 its smaller than the one your thinking of. but with the big ones its hard to install a big one under the canopy and do t5s. i mean i barely had room. the lumenar mini is 14 inches wide where these are only 11.5 inches x5-6 inches by 15 inches long. . i paid a little more for these for the extra space. they both are good.

i actually took them apart to mount them flush in my canopy the have the option of hanging them. without taking them apart but i wanted them higher in my canopy and not swaying
