I needed an overflow box to rig up a second sump to test and tune the Frankenskimmer. So, I used what I had. Two 2liter bottles, some vinyl tubing, PVC, fishing line and super glue.
How's that workin' out fer ya?? Uhhh.... not too good. But not because the redneck overflow box doesn't work. It works quite well actually! However, I forgot to break the siphon to my primary sump. I stopped the flood pretty quickly though. I'll resume testing tomorrow when the rug dries!:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
The reason I'm posting this is partly for comedic effect, but also to show what you can do when you need something RIGHT NOW and have little to work with. Ever seen Appollo 13????
