Im just curious on how others have there rock. Should I leave a space between the rock and the back glass? Right now I just have it spaced evenly between the front and the back.
Its a matter of preference; however you want as much circulation between the rock as you can. Set up as stable as you can so you don't topple the rock when you have to move a piece of coral.
Thats the part most frustrating to me is the rocks falling over when trying to make a simple move. (lol simple)
I like those setup where the base is homemade rock that act like a table to hold corals.
There is also those who keep the majority of the rock in the sump.
Circulation and no dead spots is what you want with aquascaping with live rock
