Reducing air bubbles in drain plumbing

I have a 125 gallon tank with dual corner overflows. The drains are one inch. I use durso standpipes in the overflow boxes and they are extremely quiet. The drain empties about 2 inches below the water surface in the sump. Then the bubbles pop on the surface and its pretty annoying. Is there any way to vent the air from the pipes before entering the sump?
