Reducing skimmer noise

I have and ASM Mini skimmer (5g bucket-sized "mini") in the side sump for 10g common reef with a scooter blenny (because of the frozen food it's requiring). This is a sleeping place (living room, not solely bedroom), and now skimmer is turned off during the night.

Any advice?

Airstone on the air inlet hose works great as a muffler. I would not turn the skimmer off at night as your pH will drop due to a surplus of Co2.
