reductions

I'm starting a thread that will offer reef related stuff to others prior to my move to another house in mid March. The aquarium needs to be out of here the weekend of March 18/19.
Weekends are always the best time to pick up your stuff (here).
All transactions in this thread will help to reduce the load that I'll need to move to the new house.
It's the nature of these threads for someone to feel unfairly left out because they saw something they wanted after it's already been claimed. I've been in the same situation myself and I apologize for this fact in advance.
If I eventually choose to offer any livestock to others, I reserve the final decision who will get something.
Claim something offered here by PMing me or posting to this thread. Don't email me.
I'll notify everyone ASAP in this thread when something has been claimed.
If you claim something, plan on picking it up the weekend after claiming it or by making other arrangements with me. I prefer not to ship anything because it might cause as many headaches as it solves, but I'll consider shipping if necessary. If you successfully claim something and don't stop by to get it I'll never do business with you again. No lame excuses. Think carefully before you respond to claim something.

My first offering is two bags of "Southdown" type play sand.
Come and get 'em- they're free.
I definitely don't want to lug this heavy stuff to the new house!

It's kinda sad that in this day and age you have to provide such a disclaimer. Very good job. I will be watching.

Alright alright. Enuff joking around already. :D
Next up: several years of back issues of National Geographic Magazine. FREE. U pick up. (You might need a pickup. Truck, that is!)
You might wonder how these are related to reefs. Well, that's why I'm here to tell you: many issues of NG contain articles and pictures of reefs. Some of David Doubilet's finest reef photography is in these back issues. ;)

A Google search will turn you on to David's work. Look here:

No prob, SVXH6.
Next up for grabs are some columnar cactus frags. Huge ones or small ones- I'll cut to order. :D
No charge for these- but you'lll need to pot 'em come spring.

You got it, Josh. Anybody else? Just let me know... I got lots of cactus frags. These are mature "arms" that will flower.

Gary you must have a green thumb, or something else...

I have NEVER seen a cactus look like that!

Didn't know they had flowers. WOW

what species of cactus are those?? looks like T. pachanoi or San Pedro? if so i could definitly use them as grafting stock. how long are the cuttings you want to get rid of?

I don't have any Trichocereus or "San Pedro" cactus.
The cactus in the pic is a type of night blooming Cereus.
Not as good as a Tricho for grafting purposes. Some arms are 3ft. long.

also available:
one 400w Radium SE MH lamp used 8 months $15
one 250w Iwasaki SE MH lamp used 12 months $10
or $20 for both

Next up is Xenia: $15 per frag. Not elongata. I call it Red Sea "pom pom".
I also have a dark green Pocillipora (from Kent) that grows quickly and frags easily. Great choice for those just getting into SPS. Priced according to size- I just made several frags (accidentally) while moving rocks. $5- $20
